What is everyone using to call the C64 40 column Petyscii boards on a PC these days? Loading up Vice and a C64 term like CCGMS? MuffinTerm? CCMGS/PC? SyncTerm? Lets hear the options and results.

If I am calling a C64 board, I am using Syncterm in 80 column mode (I was never a fan of 40 column screens). It works very well and I have no issues with it.. If I am going to use a 64 to call out, I use Striketerm2014 on my Ultimate 64 with the built in modem emulation. I have found that at least for Image BBS' the file transfers work flawlessly. On my Linux based laptop, I use Syncterm and also Striketerm in Vice to call out. I also have a emulated C128 on my Laptop, but haven't yet tried to set up Desterm on it.

I know I know .. just too many things with CNet/5 that bothered me.. random control crashes were the biggest issue .. but since Zeus is an Arexx driven piece of software, the sky is the limit.. and wouldn't you know it.. I know
how to code in Arexx :D

I've been working on Zeus off and on since before Netsurge poofed on the
world .. still have no idea what happened .. I dont know of any other Zeus boards still in existance .. and I like to be different .. everyone running
the same piece of software gets tired ..

CIA Amiga runs Zeus, I believe he is running 1.7, he has the chat room going and he has been trying to get the interBBS chat going with I can't remember his name from down under.. ciaamiga.org:6400

I use 1.7 but it reports v1.5 in the origin line .. working on a rewrite of
the default scripts fixxing some stuff that's broken and consending things a little bit. The way the default 'Wedlock' scripts are it's easy to get into
an unbreakable arexx loop with a call out to a seperate script for each function .. I'm about 25% done .. the login is complete and I've
incorporated the frontdoor menu into the sequence. Now it's just a matter of doing the menu systems which isn't that complicated.. just need to find some peace and quiet so I can sit and work .. having a new puppy is tiring lol

I've been working weekends the last while but I for sure will .. I'm kind of stoked to get this project finished so I can put the BBS online.

I just wish I had some skills with ASCII.. it's hard to find a font in TheDraw that displays properly with an Amiga IBM font ..
