What are the tricks to get Trapdoor working? I tried it a few times, but its not friendly for telnet.

Trapdoor was not written for Telnet, it was a EMSI style front end. I have a copy of it on disk here somewhere, it was more for dialup then anything. If you are running in Emulation BinkD is the way to go, Trapdoor hasn't been updated in years.. Something to think about is, if you are running real hardware and are looking to get away from AmiBinkD because of the stability issues it has, if your real hardware is on a home network, create a shared folder on a PC install BinkD on it, then do the copy save delete routine I use with BinkD on emulation.. (BinkD takes the echo files in to a PC Directory, then the Amiga side copies the files to a Amiga Directory, then C-Net tosses the files) I use BinkD on my emulated system and BinkD has crashed maybe once in 6 years..

Thank goodness I have AmiBinkD working as it does. This will make it easy for me to move ROF over to the A1200 and keep all the networks.

Very true, if I ever went real Amiga all I would need to do with my set up is modify the binkd.ini file and change a flag and it would run on AmiBinkD. It's the same source code for the most part. :)
