President Barack Obama will become the first sitting U.S. president to visit Hiroshima, Japan[1], the White House announced Tuesday.
The trip fulfills Obama's intent, expressed early in his presidency, to visit the location where an American atomic bomb attack killed tens of thousands of Japanese civilians at the end of World War II.
