Uber CEO Travis Kalanick has dropped out of President Trump's business advisory council. [1]
Kalanick told his employees in a memo that he would not be
participating because of the president's immigration order.
"Earlier today I spoke briefly with the president about the immigration executive order and its issues for our community," Kalanick said in the memo obtained by CNN.
"I also let him know that I would not be able to participate on his economic council. Joining the group was not meant to be an endorsement
of the president or his agenda but unfortunately it has been misinterpreted to be exactly that."

Uber is awful for the drivers though, run your vehicle into the ground
for below poverty level wages after everything is said and done. I
presume that is the "American Way" though.

In certain parts of the coutry I would say that's probably the case but I know one in the DC area that may put on 80 miles per night and walks home with $200-300. With that kind of $ you could probably afford to buy a new car every year.. :)
uber is a pretty shitty company and they should be required to follow the same laws and requirements that taxi drivers do.
