Democrats want to question KT McFarland[1] about her knowledge of contact between Michael Flynn and Russia before her confirmation as envoy to Singapore, a Democratic source says.
McFarland told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in written comments that she "was not aware" of any communications between Flynn and Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak.
The assertion later appeared to be contradicted by court documents unsealed Friday [2]after Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI.
The top Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee says he thinks McFarland's nomination is imperiled.
