Have your tried the mac version of syncterm ? It's really as close as you can get to the original pc experience. That's what I use myself

Grab the Syncterm for Mac OSX at sourceforge.net at the like below.
Works like a charm on Mac, and it's the closest I've seen to the old
days.

Now one unfortunate consequence is that CMD-H which (H)ides as an app on almost every other OS X native program, SyncTerm reads it is an an Alt-H, hangup...

I pointed this out to Deuce last spring. Here's what he said to me
then:
"The command is actually <Modifier>-H. In SyncTERM for some reason I
never documented, both option and command are mapped to <Modifier>, and
in the interface are listed as 'Command'.
"As for changing <Modifier>-H to not hangup, this is a non-starter
unless I make all actions remappable (not a near term feature).
"If you think only mapping Option as the modifier is reasonable for OS
X users, and won't be surprising when it stops working, I can look into that. IIRC, the OS X guidelines say Command should be used for keyboard shortcuts, and Option be used to modify the behaviour of something, so Command is the 'better fit' to what SyncTERM does."
