you think there's a special legal system for what you say on BBSes?

Libel is libel, you said things that are blatantly untrue about me and
defamed my character and think because it's over a BBS message network laws don't apply.

Also you are hopefully aware that when this does go to court, the burden of proof is on YOU to prove your statements are true, right?

"stuff you said on FB" doesn't quite cut it, you know for evidential value
