I'm grateful to have a job, but work always seems to get in the way of - everything. I can't remember the last time I worked on the BBS, plus my Atari work is piling up, not to mention my ham radio being silent, and my programming projects never moving beyond ideas jotted down in a text file. I am so ready for retirement.

Make your programming projects happen. Just do it; then you can get into
the rythym of doing it :).

Yes, could always do with more time. :)

Strange, I cannot get the rest of your message quoted.

I hear you; I've got a couple of programming projects and a project with a Raspberry Pi (or two, maybe) that I would like to work on in my free time.

Trouble is that between work and family, I don't have a lot of free time nor any money to do these projects. I don't even get to work on my home improvement projects either.

Can't properly quote here either; what's going on with the line editor? Oh well...

Yea, that's what I have been doing: just go in there and do it when I do get the free time. With my first containerized microservice project, I was able to, at least, learn how to use the Docker Toolbox on Windows 10 Home. Now, I just need to select the best stack that will best fill in my application requirements. It is a toss up between ASP.NET Core or PHP. I would like to consider Node.js, but for some strange reason, there is no offical Docker container for it.

True that. But with any time you are given, no matter how little or how much do something constructive with it. :)

I should just check your profile, but what editor are you using? i've been having problems quoting stuff here also, specifically messages written using Ecweb, in the local message areas. I cannot get any editor to pull up the message to quote.. something is borked somewhere and I have been looking for it for a month or so now and cannot find it.

I don't believe it's any of the editors on the BBS side that are the issue, I have a feeling it is messages that are originating from Ecweb.. I cannot be sure though I've only seen it with Deavmi's messages so far, I I "Think" all the ones that have given issue originated on the web.

Indeed. Spent a bit of time yesterday getting my ATV transmitter going. Has been a little project to redesign the control circuitry, so I can remotely control it, allowing my to separate the camera or other video source from the bulky transmitter/PA and low loss coax required for the 1250 MHz frequency. So far, the mods work, today's work is to get the main PA working (30W) and the wireless video link. The remote switching requires an eBay purchase or some serious homebrewing. :)

You posted this reply from the web? seems to be working fine now, I can quote you, but cannot quote messages you write from ecweb on the LOCAL message bases, and I *think* I cannot quote NEW messages you write from ECWEB, only messages that have been previously written and that you quote, like this one.

anywho, still trying to track down the bug.
