i never told anybody what to do over there other than saying second life is weird and the graphics suck.
so you're wrong about that part.

treated rather harshly when they showed their face.
You were the perfect example of one that fell in to that. But thanks for the personal attack on my wife -- really makes me want to side with you.
And by the way, Second Life IS horrible. We just went in there to support Eli...who we also gave computers to when his died, and gave money to when he couldn't pay the bills. And we were rewarded handsomely! lol
yeah it was fucking years ago.
dont know why you are into bbsing now.

A guy on my radio station thought the path to the future was setting up a BBS for our listeners to engage us on lol while I immediately embraced the irony of that, I did want to check out boards that were out there right now running

Saturday Night Live did a takeoff on the Robin Williams scene. I think it's on Youtube.
Sad he was pushed far enough to do what he did.

Friends of mine knew him; he'd volunteered for their charity several times. It makes you realize that depression doesn't always show the way you think it does and to keep an eye open for the ones you love.

Yeah, I was surprised and sad when I heard the news.

I wouldn't say that, but I will say that suicide is the easy way out.
I grew up watching Mork and Mindy and that show was one of my favorites.
It didn't know or even realize that when I was young that he was
suffering from an illness and was expressing joy to others as how it
just wanted to be treated.

Often times depression appears in the form of happiness when it's completely the opposite of all the pain. Depression occurs at
different levels, from minor to severe. Look at it as your house, if
it's not kept up, it's a blooming mess, when a fire occurs, the more
stuff laying around, the harder it is to put out the fire...eventually, the whole place turns to dust. Depression is serious business.
Sometimes, those that are ignorant of what it can cause to a person,
can push that person to over the edge. So many things trigger it, like distant memories, loses, etc... Sometimes, people are born with
chemical inbalaces that cause it too, so medically, it's not even that person's fault. Drinking and drugs aren't the answer either. Just
clean your house.

Did you see the Happy Days episode that debuted Mork? That was one of
the oddest shows in my recollection.

Well said!
And sometimes you need HELP cleaning your house...

I wonder about the chemical basis of depression. Many people I know have had bouts of depression later in life; while cumulative circumstance certainly can be the cause of depression (the older you are, the more things to depress you) I wonder if the body slowly loses its ability to self-regulate, causing people who might have been managing depression to lose that ability.

The one where the Gremlin was standing on the chair in the classroom supporting his professor...who then threw him in the microwave?
Yeah totally cinema classic man! ;)
