So I'm trying out SeaMxkey again and I must say, I really like it. It
has a built-in website creator (page editor to be more correct), IRC client, mail, news and not to forget a web browser.
It is still developed. I use SeaMonkey on my Virtual Machine and use it to edit some of the
web pages on the wc7 system i have.
I love the retroness of it.

is it 'retro' or is it just that they arent keeping up with today's styles in regards to toolbars and icons?

The retroness of it is great.
Every once in a while I dig up an old Eudora email archive I have - still has emails from 1997 in it! That's my retro fix.

I used to use Eudora a long time ago. At some point, I remember Eudora adding something annoying to try to get you to upgrade from the free Eudora to the paid version (I don't remember if it was ads or pop-ups or something different). I decided to switch to Mozilla Thunderbird, which was free. Thunderbird was able to import my Eudora email folders, so I switched and didn't look back. I was reading something about Eudora recently that said the developers of Eudora eventually made a new version of Eudora that was based on Thunderbird, which I thought was amusing..

I do most of my email through Gmail, but I'm tiring of the web UI for dealing with lots of email. I found a great free new client called eM Client I'm trying out now, looks like a decent POP/IMAP/GMAIL client
with a fresh UI. I'm doing more GPG mail, and running encrypted email
with a Gmail extension seems a little dangerous.

I don't particularly like the overall look and feel of Windows 8 & 10 much. It looks fairly flat and monotone. I'd like it if they brought back some of the icons and look and feel of Windows 7. Even the XP or '95 icons look a bit better IMO. The older icons, window borders, buttons, etc. have more depth and color to them. It's like they've taken a step backwards starting with Windows 8, making everything look flat and more monotone.

i dont like win8, but windows 10 is just fine with me for the most part. i had to change the start menu, though.
We have to thanks Sir Johnny Ive for this with his was on skeuomorphism. The weird think it feel like Microsoft and Google took it more at hart than apple. Might save a lot of system resource but it does look bland and it's not even looking like Lcars.

I think the start menu in Windows 10 is a lot better than Windows 8/8.1.
