  • BBSes Down or Done?

    Would anyone happen to know what happened to KK4QBN or Outwest BBS?

    K know that Tim's BBS has been down for over a week and I noticed that it's not listed on Telnet BBS Guide, but still on Synchronet's BBS List.

    Today, I just noticed that Denn's BBS is down, but still listed on both Telnet BBS Guide and Synchronet's BBS list.

    I hope everything is OK and that they'lll get it back up soon.

    mr proper isnt really one to stick around for long, but he comes back. like a bad case of the herp.

    a lot of bbs people are like that. dont keep their systems up long but come back once a year or two.

    Just a SNAFU on the outwest BBS, It will be back online by saturday, new equipment Install caused a bit of a problem, the BBS is still calling out for messages and my FTP server is now reachable again but BBS will not accept calls I know what the problem is I just need to fix it on saturday.

    as far as KK4QBN Tim's BBS he is now running as a dial up only from what he said in an email to me recently.

    I'm glad to hear that your BBS is OK, for the most part. I hope everything goes smoothly for you when you're able to work on it.

    I hate to hear that; I only Telnet into his BBS and I don't have the equipmemt to dial into his BBS.

    Sad to hear this too. I knew he was getting hit hard by hackers or whatever over the net, maybe he got tired of it :-(

    Wasn't he driving the interbbs messages ? that could be problematic ?

    That's what is sad with bbses, one bad hardware failure or got forbid a health problem and a bbs can dissapear overnight.

    Thanks to dove.net at least the messages and stuff will still happen elsewhere hopefully for a long time to come.
