Today I saw an article saying Facebook is on a downward spiral: http://www.vanityfair.com/news/2018/01/mark-zuckerberg-facebook-downward-spi Facebook still seems very popular, and I hadn't seen many people leaving Facebook to justify what this article seems to suggest, that Facebook is dropping in popularity..

just answer everyone's post with the puke sticker. that's what i
usually do.
Publicity attempt, maybe? Is Zuckerburg watching some sort of graphs showing that Facebook is on a downward spiral?
Yea, I agree with you: it doesn't seem like Facebook is on that spiral.

Sounds like a bit of a 'market correction' for them. I'm sure once the parents start flooding Instagram or whatever the hot sexy SM flavor of the month is, the kids will be migrating away from that also.
Facebook has created an infrastructure that uses Facebook as a platform. You can login to sites using just your Facebook credentials, complete transactions, etc. So it makes it a little tougher to actually kill than, like, Friendster.
I think it's probably just normal popularity cycles. Remember, Friendster and MySpace and LiveJournal and whatnot were really popular for a while, too, and then something new came along. The main difference is that Facebook has created an infrastructure that uses Facebook as a platform. You can login to sites using just your Facebook credentials, complete transactions, etc. So it makes it a little tougher to actually kill than, like, Friendster.
I gotta admit, I'm kinda found of logging in using Facebook, rather than having to remember any of my millions of passwords for various accounts....platform. You can login to sites using just your Facebook

Google and other sites have done that too though. You can log into some sites using your Google credentials, and many people have a Google account due to using Gmail or an Android phone, etc.Yeah, Google does the same, and I've got my gmail account for the same

Yeah, Google does the same, and I've got my gmail account for the same
reason, my first android phone required it...

That's why when I'm logged on to GMail, I can go to YouTube in another window.
