We did break that boycott 2 times Once out of state on a trip and once visiting my Mom.

I've generally enjoyed eating at Denny's when I've eaten there. It seems like Denny's are disappearing though.. There was one not too far from me that I recently noticed is gone now.

We just got a popeye's a couple of years ago, Way better than KFC.
I grew up with Big Boy's (Bob's) in California. There's only one or two left. Here in Detroit area where I life, where the Big Boy WHQ is, we have many.
Still taste the same. Still the same menu. Still the same really good Blue Cheese dressing. ;)

I like Popeye's, except after a while I get a little tired that just about everything they have is spicy. The mild stuff is good but has a kick that slowly grows in intensity. Even their onion rings are spicy. Sometimes I'd prefer something from KFC. I remember when KFC used to have chicken nuggets a long time ago, which I really liked.. I wish they still had those.

I do not know about in your area but here KFC has gotten real expensive and the portion size has gone done alot. I stay away fromt here because it is to expensive to eat there anymore. Plus I don't think the quality of the food is as good anymore. The same with Wendy's there prices have gone up and it is not as good anymore. There burgers are real dry. I never heard of Cottage Inn. Is that a local place or a small franchise that we don't have here in the state that I'm in?

Subway here is the worst place you can go, there bread is stale and sometimes it is so hard you can hardly chew it. I am not much for subs anyway if I want a good sandwich I go to a local meat market here and they have good sandwiches for lunch time. They only server them during the week at lunch time. They are to busy to be able to do in on Saturday and they are closed on Sunday.

Unless you went to a restaurant and paid a fortune for a burger. The last Jack in the Box closed down in the 80's here on Long Island. We were always drunk and broke so by the end of the night the drive threw at Jack in the Box was the only place to eat after hours. Their Onion rigs were great at 3:00am!

I like Arby's sometimes, but I find their gyros to be rather funny, as they don't seem to spice the meat the way gyro meat is typically spiced. From what I remember, they also offer their gyro with the traditional Arby's roast beef, which is not prepared the way gyro meat is typically prepared..

How often do they clean the gyro slicer blade? can you imagine all that tastey bacteria that builds up on that?
Pizza Inn, which may be (or may have used to have been) a chain, is also
not bad. Only place left here in town, that I know of, that has a buffet, and the buffet usually has a good variety of pizza flavors, some of which are not so common. The Pizza Huts all went to carry-out/delivery only.
Little Cesar's is also here and also not bad.

What part? Drove through there for the first time late last August. My impression overall was that it is a beautiful state. Spend a couple of nights in Ashland, rode a boat around the Apostles, and saw a bunch of waterfalls and lighthouses before heading on up the Minnesota coast to Canada.

I guess they could sell them at gas stations. It is a cornish/welsh thing, I think. It is like a whole meal folded inside a crust. Some are like pot pies, I guess, except you don't make them in a tin. Filled with meat and some veggies, usually potato... when done right, they are very tasty.
There is an italian pastry that is similar, but I cannot remember what they are called. They are usually full of tomato sauce and peperoni or sausage and, of course, cheese.
Closest I got to SE Wisconsin was probably when I crossed the state line near Janesville. Went N a ways and then started heading NW.

There's a lot of waterfalls in northern Wisconsin. There's far more in Upper >Michigan, though.

potatoes, turnips & onions). Miners would pack these for lunch, as they stay >hot for an incredibly long time, and northern WI/Upper Michigan had a lot of >mines in the 1800's, so it became a regional thing.
Yeah we love a good pasty here in the UK. There are maybe 10 or more takeout Pasty places in York where I live. More so than Starbucks or MacDonalds etc.

I always thought that you could bring pets, but hey had to be in quaranteen for six months or so. So for most vacationers, it isn't worth it because you'll be back before they're even out of quaranteen. If you're moving there, though, you just have to hand them over for six months.

I haven't known many people who bring their pets on vacation.. I don't even really like thinking about how pets would be treated on an airplane. I think they get stored in the cargo area for the flight?
Food wise, the burgers at Burger King are flame broiled, with the
grease flowing into a drip pan. They're not "swimming in grease" like those at Wendy's, McDonald's, etc.

Food wise, the burgers at Burger King are flame broiled, with the
grease flowing into a drip pan. They're not "swimming in grease" like those at Wendy's, McDonald's, etc.
How come I never see any flames when I'm in Burger King ??

I hadn't heard the term "sliders" until relatively recently. And then when I N>heard that term, I always thought of the TV show..
Assuming the under-paid girls who only care about talking to their boyfriends on their cellphones actually properly blended the chicken and seasoning together.... Otherwise you get a piece of chicken that taste like pure salt cubes, or red pepper, if you ordered the spicy chicken, then the rest of the chicken taste bland as can be, with absolutely no seasoning what soever!Popeye's is actually pretty good. Still nothing'll touch the raw majesty of Roy Rogers for fried chicken.
Actually, I prefer Popeyes chicken not being so fresh.... It's easier to eat it quickly.... Doesn't burn your toung and lips with the fire -hot heat...it depends on how fresh it is.

in my region they didnt call them anything except white castle. the slider term became a buzzword maybe 10 years ago or so.
