Stupidly I didn’t install sbbs from cvs I used latest source. How can I add the repo and update?

    Or should I just re-install?

You can always download a new source tarball and build that. No re-install is needed.

You don't need to install Synchronet from CVS. I'd use the Synchroent installer, similar to any other piece of software. To update my copy of Synchronet, I have a separate directory where I have the CVS checked out, and I'll update the CVS and copy the updated files to my Synchronet install directory.

I’ll just use tar balls. I don’t always like bleeding edge anyhow.

I'm not sure what message editor you're using, but it seems to be using an apostrophe character in an encoding that isn't supported by standard ANSI terminals.. The apostrophe is coming across as 3 high-ASCII characters.
