Hi DM,
Today while using SyncTerm connected to my BBS, I was writing a message and tried using one of the Windows Alt codes (using the numeric keypad) to type a character (that technique can be used to type letters with accent marks from other languages). However, SyncTerm seemed to ignore the fact that I was holding down the Alt key, and instead, the numbers I was typing got inputted. In Windows, you should be able to hold down the Alt key and type a number on the numeric keypad (with NumLock enabled) to type special characters: https://sites.psu.edu/symbolcodes/windows/codealt/
The number you type can be a 3-digit ASCII numeric value (the character you get would be the corresponding ASCII character), or a 4-digit value (which I think uses the Unicode values?).

It works when running SyncTERM in Win32 console mode (-iw option): òñð²±
All typed using SyncTERM.

What does that Win32 console mode option do (how does it differ from the default mode)?
