streets? I dunno? I was baffled. It is New York. We also had another "bozo" try to land a jet in the hudson river. One never knows how things will turn out. :-)

Wasn't that Hudson river landing an emergency landing though? There was a movie that came out a few years ago based on a true story where (I think) one of the plane's engines had a problem shortly after takeoff and the pilot

I suppose the "safest" thing to do was to try to land
in the Hudson river. It sounded like the pilot did a good job of
keeping the passengers safe.

Yep. September 11 has always felt like a weird day since then.
I remember getting up that day and heard I should turn on the TV and was surprised at what was happening. I was still in college and was working at
The movie was "Sully" (part of the real pilot's last name), who
was played by Tom Hanks. The plane lost both (all) it's engines.
It was the "only" option he had, and was about as close to a real
miracle as you can get.
The movie was "OK", certainly not great.
I was working at Macromedia at the time and got a call to not come into the office the rest of that week...

the thread on 9/11 was illustrative for sure. TV wasn't helpful, because al it could do was show you the horror. There was no processing or understandi
Yea it was I was just saying people can be evil and others really good. ;-)
I do not like to fly, at all, but I would get right on a plane if I knew that guy was flying it! Or the other guy that recently did the same thing in Russia. That is something you have to get just right or it will tear the plane apart.

I've gotten more and more nervous about flying over the years, but I like to travel and see other places, so sometimes flying is just necessary..

Like theose airplaines fit inside other peoples clothes, and they were ins buildings.
The only places I have really wanted to see that I would have to fly to are Nunavut, Greenland, and Iceland.
again, those are all words but they dont make sense.
Greenland, and Iceland. Those names are exactly backward; Iceland is green and Greenland is Ice.
