Maybe my memory is not so good but, to be fair, I don't remember him being rude or acting badly until people told him his questions were "stupid" and "annoying" when there really was not anything wrong with the questions asked. If he initially responded in kind, who's fault is that?

That's probably true. I think The Millionaire took it to a whole new level though with his attitude about the responses he got.

Some of the stuff he was doing was a bit odd though, like asking the wrong people about things, posting vague questions, etc.. Also he seemed to make some assumptions sometimes (I recall the time he thought Digital Man said he'd only be releasing a few more versions of Synchronet, and 3.20 would be the last version).

I got the feeling he was always trying to "top" his post or replies with something even more annoying. I was able to ignore him for the most part but being "glad" about someone's country being nuked is over the top. What's next for The Millionaire? The Holocust? Words DO matter. He should be banned but that's not our decision to make. We CAN call him on his shit though.

Yes, the bombing comment was over the top. And we can call him out, but he usually seems to react worse or doesn't reply. Perhaps the best thing would just be to ignore him when he posts stuff like that.

week, and I acknowledged that. That is not from when this first started over on the other network a month or so ago. All he was posting then was a lot
of questions that some folks didn't want to be bothered with (and, when
they did answer, he did not always seem to read the answer before asking
more questions). It devolved from there to what you quoted from this week.

My point being that, if we are going to jump on people because of how they
are acting, maybe we need to watch how we act also. If our initial
response to something benign is to act like an ass, we should not act all surprised when the target acts the same way.

Yeah, I was thinking the same way. He really was not doing anything more than asking questions to start conversations, which isn't anything really wrong. In a message network, we have a lot of people talking about various different things, so in a way I don't see why people got so annoyed at that.

It's one thing to reply negatively, but it's a whole other thing to start making threats (as in how he said basically "I have connections, so you should watch out") or racial insults ("I'm glad they bombed Hiroshima"). I think the way he responded sometimes was still a bit uncalled for.
