    Is there any BBS's out there that have the kermit protocol or a clear way to get it to work on a BBS without relying on comm 1?

    Are you looking for the kermit protocol or the kermit program? On the user/client side or the BBS?

    why cant you use com1.

    i had it working years ago.

    My retronet wifi to on the serial 232 is using com1 at the moment, im waiting on an adapter to come to hook the machine up to a windows based machine to transfer files from.

    The new problem i have is should I use a 24 to 9 pin adapter or just get a card to interface with the modern machine?
