    you have to address those to the QWK manager on the BBS you're connecting to... sending them to "All" doesn't work ;)

    I wasn't sure if it was a QWKnet node that was sending the control messages. If any QWKnet node wants to send QWK control messages to their QWKnet hub, the destintation name must match what the hub's QWK processer expects (e.g ."SBBS" if the QWKhub hub is running Synchronet), regardless of whatever software the node is running.

    yeah, it kinda threw me a little bit, too :)

    If any QWKnet node wants to send QWK control messages to their QWKnet
    hub, the destintation name must match what the hub's QWK processer
    expects (e.g ."SBBS" if the QWKhub hub is running Synchronet),
    regardless of whatever software the node is running.

    yeah, that's what i was trying to clarify...

    some QWK doors that i've run in the past also allowed the operator to define a few additional aliases that the QWK manager would react to... it helped in some cases when an offline reader was hardcoded for a specific system or offline door... i haven't seen that in a long while, though... a lot of times it was also user error when they just wrote the message instead of using the offline reader's management option but it only takes a time or two to learn ;)
