    Just a while back, my wife and I watched something strange from the west in the night sky. At first we thought it was the usual satellites but upon watching, we saw lights coming about every 10 seconds apart and then would disapear at the same point in the sky. This went on for several minutes.....

    this sounds like you're seeing the starlink satellites that elon is putting up...

    i was also looking for a video i've seen where they come into view and then appear to disappear as they move into the earth's shadow or when the reflection angle changes enough so you're not seeing the reflected light any more...

    Starlink! You can track them, we saw them the other night. It's actually a distraction in the night sky, but kinda cool to see at the same time.

    Strange...

    I remember one time I was observing the western sky when two lights appeared in Gemini and tracked each other over the horizon. Not airplanes that I could tell..no running lights, no sound. And probably not satellites.

    I can never be sure though.
