I was a long-time listener to Coast to Coast AM, and I love a good
conspiracy theory for entertainment value, but haven't found one yet
that's worth repeating in all seriousness.
I used to listen to Coast To Coast sometimes. Sometimes I wondered
how much truth there was to some of the stories on that show.. If
those stories really had serious validity, then why would they only be reported on a late-night AM radio talk show like that?

I primarily tuned in only because the sound of conversation helped lull me to sleep, and the 60 minute timer on the radio was often plenty of time when I've managed to doze off.
I often got frustrated at the amount of ads and time they spent just playing the theme music for the show. Sometimes the theme music would start again, only for them to go to another commercial break. I think the show went for 6 hours or something, and there was probably only about 3 hours of actual show, with all the ads & wasted time.
that's bumper music.
the guy was there by himself. you need time to set things up. i listened a lot and i didnt notice a lot of ads.
the ads were probably added in by your local radio station.

Haven't tuned into C2C AM for several years. AM reception seems to have declined. Maybe the stations are reducing power output?
I'll never forget the episode where one caller claimed to be Satan. I
think it was still Art Bell acting as host. For the most part it was very funny, but the caller played the part in all seriousness. I was waiting
for the moment when the guy would slip up on a detail with some of the questions.

It's late late night radio, when programming slots are probably the least expensive.

A couple of years ago the contract gig I was working at required me to
be onsite when the plant was running. Being close to an hour's drive away, showing up at 6am required leaving before 5am from my house. I would catch th e last half hour of Coast to Coast Am on an FM talk station.

I thought the show was live on the air, since they let people call in during the show. I don't think my radio station added any extra time to put in more ads.
th e last half hour of Coast to Coast Am on an FM talk station. I found the bigf oot hunters and beleivers in energy vampires to be entertaining. Big foot is apparently a trans dimensional traveller, which is why we can't find physical traces of resting areas or settlements of other bigfoots.
The ads never really bothered me. My goal was to give my eyes a rest and eventually fall asleep. It didn't matter if the chatter was from a commercial or the show.

I think he got hit on the head and got a little dyslexic.
He's probably really Santa. Spelled almost the same. And both tend to wear red and temp people with gifts.
... Life is not fair...it IS, however, quite a circus.

Part of the nature of Coast to Coast AM is listening to it on an AM
station far and hell away, due to the nature of AM transmissions
bouncing around in the atmosphere at night.
I live in the San Francisco bay area, and used to listen to C2CAM
from Seattle, LA, or SLC, just because I could.

Back in the UK, I used to listen to Long Wave at night. Many UK radios had F MW and LW. It covered 153-279khz. I could pick up broadcasts from Europe. Of course, none in English so I had no idea what they were talking about, but always fascinating to try and detemrine how far you were receiving from.
It amaze me there are so many experts on the various groups of aliens our government is supposedly aware of. The blondes, the grays, the shape shifting lizard men, etc.
I had a cousin in the radio business that worked nights at a 50,000 watt AM station in upstate New York, and certain times of year the station would come in clearly down in my corner of southwest Michigan. Chicago is 60 miles
away, and the big AM stations come in clear even on the cheapest or most beat up AM radios.

We have a station here in Dallas, KRLD on 1080AM. One night I was able
to pick it up in Topeka, KS. That's about 470 miles. They're also
running at 50,000 watts.

They bounce off water in the air too.
I remember driving from Houghton to Escanaba (Michigan) one winter during a snow storm. My car only had an old
AM radio. I tried really hard to get a weather report out of Marquette, but kept picking up high school sports
from Texas, Oklahoma, etc.
Later, when I got to Escanaba, I found that the storm front basically went a the way down to Texas and the AM
radio signals "travelled" down the storm front all the way to the Upper Penninsula of Michigan.
... When I want your advice, I'll beat it out of you
they have either been overlooked (locals are aware of them, forgot to mention to searchers) or in hard to reach areas. In either cases, there are clearly more than a few to maintain their existence, and there are clear signs of the ecological footprint (nests, tracks, droppings.) Bigfoot defies nature and any evidence found is inconsistent or not in acceptable frequency.
When I lived in the Miami, Florida area...at times, we'd pick up WSM
AM 650 out of Nashville, Tennessee. That's a bit closer to Little Rock, Arkansas...but so many of these stations, you can now monitor over the internet, or via smartphone apps.
