  • networks still available?

    After having my BBS restored from backup, I realized that I am a member to a couple of QWK networks that may not be around any more. They seemed like a pretty damned handy resource, but I didn't notice the influx of QWK packet messages to them, as I imagine would've happened afer restoring from backup after ~5 years down, if they were still active.
    Can anybody tell me if DeveloperNet & MusicalNet are still up, and if so, where I can reach the admin and/or if the network's primary host address has changed? I suppose it could be that my BBS's login on that host may've just expired, too.

    Digital Distortion hosts those nets. I think he had to change the hostname for his BBS a while back. You might have better luck with digdist.synchro.net.

    I run the host BBS for DeveloperNet and MusicalNet. You should be able to connect at either digitaldistortionbbs.com or digdist.synchro.net (both go to the same place).

    I host it via QWK, but Vk3jed provides a FTN connection to both nets if you'd prefer.

    Yeah, I used to advertise digdist.bbsindex.com, but bbsindex.com has since disappeared. I've had digitaldistortionbbs.com for quite a while though, and digdist.synchro.net works too.

    Gotcha. 'Course with the amount of time elapsed, too, I'm guessing I'm gonna have to get a new QWK networking account & password hooked up, too. I'll log on over there and make a little bit of contact and find out.
