A team of five Australian radio amateurs will activate Norfolk Island from May 20 (1000 UTC) until May 31 (0100 UTC) to coincide with the Wireless Institute of Australia (WIA[1]) 2016 Annual General Meeting and Conference (AGM[2]), also being held on Norfolk Island. According to the team's Facebook page[3], everything is packed - approximately 100 kg of gear and baggage - and they will fly out of Sydney to Norfolk Island on the morning of May 20.
According to ClubLog's DXCC Most Wanted List[4], Norfolk Island is number 95. The VK9NT crew plans to operate on 160 through 10 meters on SSB, CW, and RTTY.
Activity on RTTY at VK9NT will confined to just a couple of bands to maximize all-time new ones (ATNOs).
WIA Commemorative Station VI9ANZAC also will be active from Norfolk Island over the AGM weekend.ÿ
