    Where's the fuse? :-)

I assume this is a glider then?

Very cool. Let me know if you really think it's a Zagi killer after yours flies. It appears to have a lot less surface area, no?

You hollow out pockets in the body of the wing itself and seal them in.

Very cool. Let me know if you really think it's a Zagi killer after yours flies.

The Booby has a thin wing-section which should result in less drag.
Also, a thinner wing means less mass. Unfortunately, a thinner wing
produces less lift. Less drag *allows* more speed, but less lift
*requires* more speed. Less mass requires less lift, allowing lower
speed. IOW, it should fly faster but it might fly less well at low
speeds, unless the reduced weight compensates for the reduced lift.

It appears to have a lot less surface area, no?

The difference in wingaspan is less than one inch, but the actual wing
area is difficult to compare because of the weird shape. I will take some measurements at some stage. I haven't got the ailerons and elevator on
yet, and they are an integral part of the wing (not just flat slabs like
the Zagi used). Note that it uses three surfaces -- two ailerons and a separate elevator, as opposed to the Zagi which uses AIL/ELE mixed into elevon.
