This is so typical. (New) People ask a question on irc, and leave within a couple of seconds when they don't get a response immediately. That is not how it works! People aren't constantly starring at their irc window just in case someone decides to ask them a question. You even need to be a fast typer to respond within the time before you left the channel...

And you coulnd't reconnect?
Btw: Do you sleep at all? ;)
Looks like you were using the IRC client on Vert - which is good for brief visits, but not a great way to idle and wait for a reply. Best to install an IRC client on whatever computer you normally use and leave it running in the background; then (barring netsplits and such) you're always connected and can just check in once in a while.

Not right now have a lot of anxiety... lot of people would never guess
I'm out of town recovering from a surgery. They asked me to stay here until Monday to monitor the eye that I had surgery on. Im not exactly seeing out of it clearly at the moment and they want to make sure they don't have to do another procedure next week.of
Hard to sleep when you have that on you... but I guess I will get plenty
sleep when I'm dead.
Take care of yourself Wilfred
I think for a speedy recovery it's especially important you get some good nights of sleep!

talked about. They also have a pretty good mobile app on ios/android. I think
they also have a free option with only one server connection. You can run your
own IRC proxy, but I really like their service so far.
I use it a lot for work as well - I should get them to pay for it. lol

All of these workflow apps that are taking corporate america by storm and getting huge stock valuations like Asana and Slack remind me of a decade ago
when we set up IRC, LDAP and an NNTP server and did the *exact* *same* *thing*,
but for free with standards-based servers on our own premise.
When I go on IRC no one ever talks. Why is that?
