For the last 15 years, all of us at Dyn have taken pride in offering
you and millions of others a free version of our Dynamic DNS Pro
product. What was originally a product built for a small group of users has blossomed into an exciting technology used around the world.

Does someone have a list of the free services out there?

Is there software that would let someone run their own dyn DNS
service? I would totally put one up for people to use. I have
the-bbs.com collecting dust.

I have been looking at no-ip's service and will probably get around to using that for mail redirection eventually.
I would think so. Rob seems to do it with synchro.net. He would
probably be a good lead in the right direction. There has to be
some kind of software that does it, because I know Rob's not
creating CNAMEs for each and every person that sets up the DYNDNS
timed event in Synchronet.
well it look like dyndns for free ip address account is no more (from my internet e-mail) :

Umm, synchro.net?
I really need to get a domain. I have an OpenDNS updater running on my main PC. Not sure why though, maybe they have dynamic dns, but I forget what my address is. I think I set it up so I can remote into my Windows box... /shrug.
Is there software that would let someone run their own dyn DNSi was going to mess around with mintdns.

a free non-commercial lisence. Sucks it only runs on Windows though. It's much easier for me to put up a linux VPS at work.
time to bite the bullet and buy a domain, everybody. they're not that expensive.
