    Hello All,

    I found another how-to for installing on Debian and Ubuntu. Worked flawlessly! Below is the link and instructions I found. Now it's time to experiment!

    https://www.randm.ca/howto/synchronet/

    sudo apt-get install build-essential cvs libncurses5-dev libnspr4-dev pkg- config unzip zip
    sudo mkdir /sbbs
    cd /sbbs
    sudo wget 'http://cvs.synchro.net/cgi- bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/install/GNUmakefile'
    sudo make install SYMLINK=1
    To configure: /sbbs/exec/scfg /sbbs/ctrl
    To run: /sbbs/exec/sbbs /sbbs/ctrl
    To run at boot:
    cd /etc/init.d
    sudo wget 'http://cvs.synchro.net/cgi- bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/install/init.d/sbbs.debian'
    sudo mv sbbs.debian sbbs
    sudo chmod ugo+x sbbs
    sudo /etc/init.d/sbbs start

    I (and others) have found Debian's, and by extension Ubuntu's, dosemu default apt install is broken. You might look at compiling it yourself and see if it works better. Just a heads up!
