Yep. The most recent for me was when I went on vacation a few months ago -
The very day I left, I heard power went out in my part of town at home, so my BBS was down until I could get back.

I heard the power had gone out due to, of all things, a squirrel getting into

Yep. The most recent for me was when I went on vacation a few months ago - The very day I left, I heard power went out in my part of town at home, so my BBS was down until I could get back.

I heard the power had gone out due to, of all things, a squirrel getting into a local power substation and chewing on a wire.

i watched ispyhumanfly's [he made the nightshade synchronet theme] computers while he was in iraq. i did it remotely. i made sure all his servers were running and i fixed whatever problems came up.

luckily his wife was there if anything screwed up, but it was all smooth sailing. i would also help him get movies for the troops to watch over there.
i think i watched his stuff successfully for about 2 years.

another guy who i watched his system for when he was on vacation.... well that just lasted one day. i had to do a reboot remotely and he had some weird setup where he had to manually get the computer to bootup.

yep, but it been a long time that it happen to me (other then the my bbs computer having problems before a vaction, last year)

yep and to top it off, not very good i-net access, it was ok and I was on my bbs (vnc) and then the net access had problems and when it stop having problems here couldn't connected but could a few other bbs, then I know what the problem was.

btw sorry for the other night and I didn't logoff right, lost net access here.

right now, next dsl modem lockup, support going to get a call (it on my list, it been every few days, it locking up), to get a new one

i dont have probs when i'm gone for a week or so on
vacations.

it was ok my last vaction (around may of this year)
