Nothing has been done lately, but there are still plans for it. No timeline.

for about 1 month, and shut back down again. heh. Now I've been up for several months, and going to continue it. I /want/ LFN support, but BBS's aren't just about file bases. LFN however would make naming mod-packs a lot easier than the restrictive 8.3 filename support. :)

we have the 8.3 on the left, and the lfn displayed on the right in the descriptions.
for file transfers of long file names i have a protocol script that uses rar and creates a filename with a random number and it sends to the user.
it's actually pretty nice because the file is then organized in the bbs file structure. example bbsfiles/doors/lord/igms/igmname1.zip
you can also get long file names via the ftp server

That's... Interesting... Works on Linux?

You can... But they don't work very well in the actual terminal client as a result if you do. :)

That's what I was thinking. I know Linux doesn't do any kind of LFN
support.
