Hi all. I just installed Sync on Linux, and I'm unable to get logging to work.
I added LogFacility=3 to sbbs.ini then added this to /etc/rsyslog.conf
local3.* /var/log/sbbs.log
And I created this file. I've restarted the entire server, but I'm still only getting logs written to /var/log/syslog and none going to sbbs.log.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Which Linux? I believe there are multiple syslog and rsyslog implementations. On Debian 7.6, I created the file /etc/rsyslog.d/sbbslog.conf with the contents you pasted above and it works great (with LogFacility=3). Also, I assume you're running Synchronet daemonized already?

Sorry I should've added more details, I'm running Ubuntu Server 14.04. I tried creating /etc/rsyslog.d/sbbslog.conf and adding the line to it, then rebooted. It's still not writing to the file, but I'm sure i just have something wrong, maybe a permission or something.
