I created an ansi file to display the main external (xtrn_sec.ans) and then a xtrn1.ans. If I log in as a user, any user, and change the command shell to the wildcat clone, it works as it should. But if I change to any other command shell it displays the dynamicly synchronet created menu. What should I be looking for? Or what am I missing?

That did it. Once I created the .asc file, it worked.

The Wildcat! clone shell is working differently because we missed that shell when migrating the shells to use the new(er) method of executing
the xtrn_sec.js script instead of calling the internal function "xtrn_section". Apparently the xtrn_sec.js and the xtrn_section are behaving differently. Probably because you don't have an xtrn1.asc file. You need to have the .asc variant (e.g. use ans2asc to create it).

Yes that was clear. I want to read the text of a message in a particular color, out of the box synchronet displays the text of a message in white (not bright white).
