What platform works better for Fossil based DOS doors? FreeBSD or Linux? For some reason I seem to remember FreeBSD?

as long as you can get dosemu running, it shouldn't matter... we're using dosemu on a couple of linux systems for running DOS doors from native linux bbs
    packages...

I wouldn't think it would matter either - But I remember a thread on Dove-Net about this question not too long ago where Psi-Jack was asking about it, and I seem to remember reading someone's reply saying Linux would be the better choice, because there was something not working or missing for FreeBSD that would make DOS doors very difficult to get running.

Definitely Linux. DOSEMU supports FOSSIL drivers, while FreeBSD does not, so much.

Heh, the main aspect was: There is no DOSEMU for FreeBSD. :)

I may have been in the past, but isn't now. The doscmd support required running an i386 build of FreeBSD, and it's highly reccomended to use amd64 now.

Oh yeah, that's right, it was that you had to run 32-bit instead of 64-bit versions of FreeBSD to utilize it.
