Hey guys.. I have a question for you. I have static ip addressing. Vert is showing an old static ip and not the new one in the MX records for my mail server.
Basically I need a way to relay mail.
But only for new user sign ups.
and to get the synchronet mail server running properly.. Also, for some reason the new static ip is listed in two different spam bots out there. I'm not sure why because I am not sending mail. Weird tho..

You can usually send them a request to delist your IP and they will.
Someone probably owned or used the IP before you and sent some SPAM.

Are you using the "-mx" option on your dyndns.js command-line (in SCFG)? If so, what is the command-line exactly?
Basically I need a way to relay mail.
MX records are for incoming mail.
But only for new user sign ups.
Hmm... if you mean new user password notification? Like an *outbound*
email? That wouldn't use the MX record for your hostname.

Hello Digital Man,
I am not using the -mx function at this time. Neither outbound or inbound mail are working. I am using xfinity/comcast for internet service. But they are blocking port 25 of course. Confirmation emails for new signups are not getting to the new users. I was sending mail through my email address on Xfinity and lo and behold they seem to be blocking that as well. It looks like I will have to bite the bullet and pay for SMTP services. And you know that sucks. However, Vert is still retaining an dynamic IP from about 4 months ago. Is there a way to flush it?

I removed the MX record for cpugod.synchro.net just now.
I've updated the dyndns service to now remove stale MX records. Hopefully
it works.
If you want to send mail by relaying through VERT (on TCP port 587) you can do that by authenticating with your QWKnet account.
If you wnat to receive mail by using VERT as a mail exchange (which well then forward to your port 587) you can do that as well, but you'll have to let me know that you intend to do that and you'll have to set your MX
record to mail.synchro.net.
