• Problem w/netmai., email

From Bill Gordon@VERT to All on Sat Oct 10 13:34:26 2015
EVERY time I try to type a netmail or an email, as soon as I type in the subject and hit <ENTER> the message aborts. EVERY TIME.

I haven't found another choice of editors except what comes with the one I have. I'm running 3.16c upgraded from 3.15.

    Help??

    Thanks

this sounds like you are trying to use an external editor that isn't configured
correctly... what editor are you trying to use?? what is the command line you have for it in the setup program? and what OS is it? winwhatever?

there's slyedit that's also available... IIRC it is written in javascript and mimics two popular old school external editors...

Don't know why, but the one included in 3.16c of SBBS didn't work for me, so I replaced it with another. Doing fine now.

    Thanks

The original editor I was having problems with was FEDIT.EXE, so I replaced it with FSEditor.js

ahhh... ok... you might try slyedit, too... it mimics iceedit and another one i
don't recall... iceedit was a very popular editor back in the day when it came out as almost a clone of other popular editors...
