Hey All,
I was looking over the CVS files and ran across FIDO.JS in the load directory. Is it possible to now set it up as a mailer instead of using IREX2? If so, could someone explain to me how this would be configured?
exec/load/fido.js is used by exec/binkit.js. BinkIt is a mailer (written by Deuce), but I think it's still the experimental stages. You could try running it if you feel like it, but there are no gaurantees that it'll work as you expect or be (sufficientaly) supported in the future (like most software). :-)

I've been using binkit and such since Deuce first decided to write it. Works a treat. Was happy to get rid of irex.
How is it configured? is there a .ini file? or do you need to text edit the binkit.js to put in the address and passwords? or does it automatically pull the info from sbbsecho?

There is also a tic processor as well called tickit and there is also freqit. I am only using binkit and tickit. have not tried freqit yet.

You create a binkit.ini in the ctrl directory. There is helpful information in the wiki. If you need any additional help let me know.
I followed the wiki and am getting this:
!Javascript C:\sbbs\exec\load\binkp.js line 851: SyntaxError: missing ) after argument list
This should be fixed in the latest revision of that file, which you can update via CVS. (I just added the missing ')', don't axe me no
questions about this script, it's a Deuce joint.)
Np somehow the latest fix caused a Syntax error on 852. I have the latest CVS/EXEC & Loads .js files as well as the sbbs_dev nightly, so I don't think
update via CVS. (I just added the missing ')', don't axe me no questions about this script, it's a Deuce joint.)

Time to move to Mystic, SBBS is getting too "street" for my tastes.
