was it the sbbs_dev.zip or the sbbs_run.zip?

I Download the _dev first and replace all the compiled executeables.... then the SBBS_run gets unzipped to a test directory. I then remove anything that will overwrite my config files and then copy over all the exec directory. Then I have a batch that goes through the xtrn and copies over only the files for the things I've turned on like the Digital Distortions reader and a few other things. I'm very careful.

I checked and I have the lastest fido and bink files from the download dated the 16th.

fido.js belongs in your exec/load directory, but from the error above, it appears you have a (apprently old) copy of fido.js in your *exec* directory. I'm not sure how you did that, but you need to fix that. If you run "jsexec update.js" from a command prompt, it should fix that for you automatically.

fido.js belongs in your exec/load directory, but from the error above, it appears you have a (apprently old) copy of fido.js in your *exec* directory. I'm not sure how you did that, but you need to fix that. If you run "jsexec update.js" from a command prompt, it should fix that for you automatically.

The one in my main directory was one that I downloaded directly from the CVS Repository as an individual file. It was there because I checked it with a comparison program and the file in the exec was identical to the one in the load directory. I did not want to take chance of corrupting it by renaming it to compare.

I've downloaded your nightly builds today at least a half dozen times.

What I finally did was download both the exec and the runtime files. Archive my entire exec directory off to a network drive. I have an untouched install of 3.16 on the network drive I use to rebuild things when I blow things up.

Copied the exec folder from that directory. Replaced the compiled programs with the exe zip file from tonight... replaced the runtime exec folder over overwriting all files.

I'm sorry I'm still getting the same error. There's no way that it can be the older fidonet.js file.

I would make the suggestion put a comment header in each file with the version numbers it would make ferriting this out so much easier. I've not encountered much code that didn't have some sort of comment header identifying the file, who coded it and what date/version it is.

For good measure I ran your update program...

I know I'm not crazy... I want this to work.

I've also done everything possible to get Ticket to work too but it's not tossing files. I'll gladly upload my config files and control files to anyone who wants to look at them. I'm sure I have misconfigurated something somewhere.

I'm sorry I'm still getting the same error.

Well, to be fair, it's not the *exact* same error because the path to the fido.js is now correct.

There's no way that it can be the older fidonet.js file.

fido.js, but yes, I see your point.

I would make the suggestion put a comment header in each file with the version numbers it would make ferriting this out so much easier. I've not encountered much code that didn't have some sort of comment header identifying the file, who coded it and what date/version it is.

I agree with your suggestion. The scripts that *I* write do have comment headers with revision details. I didn't write these fido-related scripts you're playing with now, Deuce did.

I am still getting the error...

Until the author of the scripts shows up, I don't really know what to say. I haven't tried them myself (I still use BinkD). You can try reaching Deuce via irc (irc.synchro.net, #synchronet channel) to see if he can help or hopefully he'll read your messages here and reply sometime soon.
