not that I am up on this, but did you get the new binkp.js & fido.js that were put in around 7/12/16? http://cvs.synchro.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/exec/load/binkp.js?view=log http://cvs.synchro.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/exec/load/fido.js?view=log

What I have is out of the nightly build from yesterday and they are dated 7/12/2016 at 5:20 am.
was it the sbbs_dev.zip or the sbbs_run.zip?

you need the new .js files, not just the nightly, they are located in the sbbs\exec\load dirs on the cvs area.

was it the sbbs_dev.zip or the sbbs_run.zip?
I Download the _dev first and replace all the compiled executeables....
then the SBBS_run gets unzipped to a test directory. I then remove
anything that will overwrite my config files and then copy over all the
exec directory. Then I have a batch that goes through the xtrn and copies over only the files for the things I've turned on like the Digital Distortions reader and a few other things. I'm very careful.
I checked and I have the lastest fido and bink files from the download
dated the 16th.

If you're getting this error, then I don't think you're using the latest version of fido.js. I fixed that error last week. Be sure that you're copying 'exec' and 'exec/load/' from sbbs_run.zip over your existing copies, and be sure that you don't have another copy of fido.js, etc., in your 'mods' directory.
you forgot step 1!! backup!

nothing in my MODS directory...
i've downloaded from this link just now...
http://bbs.synchro.net/Synchronet/sbbs_run.tgz
Unfortunately in the fido.js file there is no header so I can't give you any information on the version of the file.
However I have downloaded from that link... and directly from the CVS and I am still getting...

Any chance the bug has been reinserted? Should I try scrolling back a release?
fido.js belongs in your exec/load directory, but from the error above, it appears you have a (apprently old) copy of fido.js in your *exec* directory. I'm not sure how you did that, but you need to fix that. If you run "jsexec update.js" from a command prompt, it should fix that for you automatically.
I'm sorry I'm still getting the same error.
There's no way that it can be the older fidonet.js file.
I would make the suggestion put a comment header in each file with the version numbers it would make ferriting this out so much easier. I've not encountered much code that didn't have some sort of comment header identifying the file, who coded it and what date/version it is.
I am still getting the error...
