• How do you Sync File Areas

From Lith@VERT to All on Tue Aug 9 19:51:25 2016
Currently, my file areas appear to be out-of-sync.

For instance, if you look at a directory in the FTP web section, it shows that I have 4 files in a directory. When you click on the directory, it only has 3 files.

Is there a way to re-scan/re-sync the Synchronet file areas so the directory info is correct in the FTP section?

I've ran many of the auto-upload synchronet command line commands, but have not found one that fixes this issue.

    Thanks,

    Lith,

If you logon to the Terminal Server (using Telnet, RLogin, or SSH) do you see the same problem (i.e. does the problem only happen with the FTP server)?

Good question. I noticed that the one specific directory giving me problems while using a telnet session appears to be asking "Private: Telegram, Message, Chat, or Quit" after you list the directory contents.

All the other file areas appear to be fine. I'm guessing this particular file directory may of been corrupted somehow.

This weekend, i will just delete the directory and re-create it which should fix the problem (hopefully).

But, if you have any insights I'll try those as well!

    Thanks for the response,

    Lith,

That's interesting. That is the Ctrl-P (private message) prompt. Are you sure your terminal program isn't sending a Ctrl-P to the server for some reason? What terminal progarm are you using?

Well, it's possible that it's corrupted, but that's pretty rare. Do you see garbage characters or some other indication of corruption when listing the directory? You could also play with the filelist utility (in your exec directory) and see if that gives any other indications of problem/corruption.
