• DNS Mail Issues

From IronMan@VERT to All on Sun Sep 4 15:17:54 2016
I'm using the hosted Synchro.net DNS for my system to resolve from.

    midsouth.synchron.net

When I send out email to someone on an outside service like yahoo or gmail, it send it out but the
mail shows coming from: bbsuser@207.68.231.104 instead of bbsuser@midsouth.synchro.net.

Most mail servers will not accept a message that is not coming from a hostname so it bounces back
to the system. I need it to show that it's sent from the hostname instead of the IP number.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

I couldn't help but wonder if the typo you made was just on here or in your resolv.conf

There actually is a midsouth.synchron.net that resolves to 198.105.254.63 and then there is midsouth.synchro.net that resolves to 207.68.231.104. If you have an anomoly somewhere, it could cause a conflict of interest where the MX handler is concerned.

    Cheers,

Works perfect now, thank you so much... Spent two days scratching my head trying to figure out
    what was going on.
