• Synchronet Hub for echomail

From Dribble@VERT to All on Sun Oct 23 16:57:24 2016
Ok IRC suddenly decided to randomly start working, lol not sure why - now I have another question.

I am currently hosting a message echomail on my Mystic setup and know how to setup echomail as a node on Synchronet but not as a host. I am running 3.17 and using IREX2 as my transfer protocol. What do I need to do on Synchronets side to show that I am the host for the network. Thanks!

Nothing special. Just make sure the echo is in your areas.bbs file so your nodes can link to it.

So if I am a host, do I use my own board as the uplink in areas.bbs?

No. There would be no "uplink", only downlinks. And if no nodes are linked to the echo, then the list of FTN addresses for that area in the areas.bbs file would be blank.
