Run everything as root, linux guys love it when they hear you do that. :)

    :)

    That's what I do, and I'm a linux guy. :)

While I used to run in /home/bbs and have a 'bbs' user, it's just easier to login as my normal user and su to root when taking care of BBS matters. I don't
care what others think. The entire machine is dedicated to the BBS and everything that goes with it. It gets backed up, and there's nothing detrimental to the survival of the world on it. I'd rather locate my bbs in /sbbs, rather than /home/sbbs, and still have access to it without permission problems. Along with all other 3rd party software that runs with it, it just makes it a lot less of a pain in the ass.

Just make sure you have an excellent root password (ie: NOT 'password' lol), and you shouldn't have any problems. :)

However, I'm of the complete opposite standpoint with any other Linux machine. *shrug*

    Regards,
    Nick

Need to work out where that's coming from. Is it when attempting to run the tosser, or attempting to read/write to the filesystem?

... Bite here. Then turn and examine.
