using 3.17 windows
so i had a guy email me an 8mb file. when i try to dowload it via my
email client, it freezes up sbbsctrl. when i login locally to download it, it freezes up at the pause.
is this a normal thing when the filesize is this high or did my email
data file get corrupted after receiving such a large file?
i looked at my data file and it's just under 15mb
looks like i'm gonna lose all my emails.
look in your \sbbs\data\file\0001.in dir. you will find it there, you might move
the file out of there

Can you elaborate? Does sbbsctrl recover on its own or you have to kill the process and restart it?
is huge, that can take a while. If you view the message (locally, using the terminal server) in Raw I/O mode (Ctrl-Z to enable), does it still freeze?
You don't have to. Worst case, you could just delete that one email message.
