That is actually the same version I have I just ran a .txt comparison on it and it matched 100% new vs old... If you scroll down the last entry on version in the comments was 2016-12-03.

The one small things that I run into a lot with Synchronet .cvs is that a lot of authors don't change the comments in the tag to reflect the version.

Just for a test I did copy in the new file and I am still getting same error.

Updating your sbbsdefs.js should fix that.
I can also try to make an update to DDMsgReader to fix it.

Normally I do, but only when I make an official release. I've been doing a fair amount of updates to DDMsgReader recently and I still consider it a beta version right now, so I haven't wanted to bother updating the comments for each and every beta update I have been making.

    MSG_VOTE was defined in exec/load/sbbsdefs.js rev 1.64: http://cvs.synchro.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/exec/load/sbbsdefs.js?r1=1.63&r2=1.6 4

I'm guessing you haven't updated this file.

Te $Id: $ lines in files in CVS are automatically updated whenever a file is changed (a change is commited). The author doesn't have to do anything, nor can they do anything, to prevent the content of the $Id: $ line from being updated.

I wondered how that information was inserted. I've added those to my message reader and SlyVote so that the CVS versioning information can be tracked in the files in the future.

    Much thanks Nightfox... much thanks.

Anyhow I have the voting problem fixed now. I now have a problem when I use the Change message area in the reader. Sometimes it does not exactly change the message area totaly.

I don't know how to explain it but it shows the message headers from one message base and the body of the other. If I quit the reader and then hit R to reload it works better.

I do have some areas that have over 30,000 messages and it seems to work great on that. Also, on your SlyEdit (fif that's you) can you add a routine that re-wraps the quotes. One of the things I liked about the old Tide editor is I could do a control R at the top of a block of text and it would re-wrap preserving the quotes. That would be a neat feature if you could make it work in your editor.

Thank you so much for all you have done for the community. I truly appreciate the reader it makes the BBS much better for me.

I tried that just now, but it seems to work as expected.. If I am able to reproduce that issue, then I'll be able to determine what the problem is and fix it. I remember having that issue in my reader a long time ago but I had put in a fix.

SlyEdit already does that (and it happens automatically). Are you perhaps using an old version of SlyEdit? You can download the latest one from the Synchronet CVS or from here: http://www.digitaldistortionbbs.com/DigDistBBSStuff/DigDistBBSStuff.html

I wonder if it it because of the number of conferences that I have... I have many and lots of messages. I can confirm I have the latest off of the CVS.

Perhaps it does but it wraps act column 78. Because a lot of software does not have the re-wrap feature is it possible it can wrap at 75 or less or have a way to configure where it wraps at? Would be especially useful on usenet where everyone quotes everything anyhow and never bothers to trim.
