I've been used to Synchronet using sbbsecho.cfg as the configuration
file and
using ECHOCFG to configure it. It appears that 3.17 now uses
sbbsecho.ini.
When I try to use ECHOCFG to configure Fidonet, it complains that sbbsecho.ini
in the \sbbs\ctrl directory isn't there. (BTW, I'm running everything
off the E
drive, if that makes a difference).
Should the file already be there? Or should I need to create it first?
Or
didit not create when I did the installation and the upgade to the
latest dev
builds?
Just wondering what I'm doing wrong or what files I'm missing that I
need.

Incleded in the ../sbbs/exec folder there is sbbsecho_upgrade.js. That will convert your existing .cfg file to the newer .ini fild and rename the .cfg f to .old.
at a ../sbbs/exec command prompt, type:
jsexec sbbsecho_upgrade.js
echocfg 3.17 will now recognize it.

Just need to execute sbbsecho_upgrade.js to convert your sbbsecho.cfg to sbbsecho.ini.
