• How to set Age and Gender attributes on Synchronet BBS

From Deavmi@VERT/KK4QBN to All on Fri Mar 24 16:53:36 2017
I am looking for a way to set my Age and Gender for my user account on my Synchronet BBS.

As doing `finger deavmi@kk4qbn.synchro.net` has those fields blank (as well as editor but that's because I use the built-in editor. Suggestion to the SBBS devs, should it maybe say "Built-in editor").

I am looking for a way to set my Age and Gender for my user account on my Synchronet BBS.

Use either the online user editor (the ;UEDIT sysop command) or if running Windows, the GUI user editor (SBBSCTRL:User->Editor) and set your birthdate and gender there.

As doing `finger deavmi@kk4qbn.synchro.net` has those fields blank (as well as editor but that's because I use the built-in editor. Suggestion to the SBBS devs, should it maybe say "Built-in editor").

See exec/fingerservice.js. You could make all kinds of cool changes like this.

Since i have the BBS setup not to ask that upon login, with the access you have, you can use the UEDIT command from the command menu to set that.

use ? at the command menu to see all tools available to you.
