I just found a packet in my binkd inbsecure folder from March. It was never parsed for some reason. Is thgis a bug in Synchronet? What is the work around for this?

what do you think should be done with insecure packets? in general, in most cases, only netmail is extracted from them... if there's echomail in them, the packet is left for the operator (you) to investigate... it may be from a node that was in the process of connecting to your feed service or it may have been the last packet of a node that was disconnecting from your feed service... it may have been from a node that typoed the destination address... in the worst case, it could have been from a system attempting packet injection...

the above is the industry standard in FTNs with traditional FTN mail software... i'm not sure if sbbsecho is at this level (pulling only netmails from insecure packets) or not...

I opened it in notepad and found that it is netmaiul from my NC before he took his BBS down. For some unexplained reason it was not handled. I'm trying to find out why.

What do your tosser logs say when you try to toss that packet?

sounds like sbbsecho doesn't extract netmail (or anything) from packets or bundles in the insecure inbound...
