DM and Mojo,
Two of the echoes in one of my QWK Networking setups (specifically RadioWxNet) are erroring out with SMBUTIL, but postings with all the
other echoes in there and elsewhere seem to work.
The command line structure, with the 2 areas in question is:
SMBUTIL -c -i -tAll -f"Daryl Stout" -s"Todays Shack Safety Tip" ic:\hambltns\shksft00.txt c:\sbbs\data\dirs\subs\radwxnt-5005.shd
AND
SMBUTIL -c -i -tAll -f"Daryl Stout" -s"Todays New Gear Tip" ic:\hambltns\newrig00.txt c:\sbbs\data\dirs\subs\radwxnt-5013.shd
Both of them get this error when run:
!Error -200 (2 'No such file or directory' opening c:\sbbs\data\dirs\subs\radwxnt-5005.shd) opening c:\sbbs\data\dirs\subs\radwxnt-5005 message base
AND
!Error -200 (2 'No such file or directory' opening c:\sbbs\data\dirs\subs\radwxnt-5013.shd) opening c:\sbbs\data\dirs\subs\radwxnt-5013 message base
Yet, even if I go in and manually enter a message, or forward a
message through the QWK Reader (OLX), it posts OK. And, those are the
only 2 message areas that I'm having problems with...but they're set up
just like the others.
Any idea what I may be doing wrong??
ic:\hambltns\shksft00.txt c:\sbbs\data\dirs\subs\radwxnt-5005.shd
ic:\hambltns\shksft00.txt c:\sbbs\data\dirs\subs\radwxnt-5005.shd
should be /sbbs/data/subs/SUBNAME.shd
should be /sbbs/data/subs/SUBNAME.shd
Yeah, I've been at the computer too long...through in an extra dirs -- more like DERR -- not to mention DUH!! :P
Yep, know what you mean.. I'm pulling my hair out with this ftp debacle right now. I can see NO REASON why the qnet nodes should be having ANY sort of trouble getting their mail.. still working.

My uplink is'nt too quick, spambots stay active all the time, there are times I would presume it slows to a crawl.
I could see why this would be the issue if the BBS calling was uploading a fairly large rep file and it timed out. I've even quadroupled my QWK timeout in ftp settings.

there are other systems that call in with no issues whatsoever.
I am posting this from your BBS, it seems fine now.
stupid spam bots
Been trying to set up the score files but it dosen't like the KK4QBN.in folder is there a setting to have it drop the .ans files to another folder on my BBS?
I was having similar problems until I played with the PASV settings and opened up some ports to forward specifically for FTP transfers (in addition to port 21).
Check out http://wiki.synchro.net/faq:tcpip#ftp_nat if you haven't

Well, the BBSLinkNet QWK Networking run worked fine this
morning...filled up my packet big time. <G>
Ok I got it figured out but the last score dloads from host had no content for some reason, probably a snafu anyway I can set up the scores now.
Well.... it must have backed up then and just took a big ol fart because it h K>more traffic now than it ever has.. still to the minute I cannot tell you wha K>happened.. haha..
Or like the sign noting "NO DUMPING ALLOWED"...and here's a dog below
it, squatting down, doing just that. :P
I don't know why they call those toileting functions as
"taking"...unless it applies to toilet paper afterwards. :P
Anyway, it looks like it's all working now.
