This is strange, NEVER had this happened before, but I actually had a (TOO MANY FILES OPEN) error on my system this morning. under linux. When it happened, Synchronet reported as the files it was trying to acess did'nt exist.

FILES OPEN) error on my system this morning. under linux. When it happened, Synchronet reported as the files it was trying to acess did'nt exist.
It happened when I was using an istance to DosEMU to run SRE and then maintenence runs started for some of my games that run under dosemu.
It is a new one on me.. and it was'nt reporting it under dosemu, it was actually a linux error.. it made it appears as if the ../text ../xtrn .../data
directorys did'nt even exist anymore afterward. I had to restart the system.
Here's a good page on how to increase the open files limits under Linux globally and for users: https://easyengine.io/tutorials/linux/increase-open-files-limit/
I had the same problem on debian few weeks ago.
i do chmod/chown these files with error with same file permissions and error left.
