  • SyncTerm on Lubuntu

    Just installed SyncTerm on Lubuntu. Found all the dependencies and got it to compile, but it doesn't run. When I start it up, I get an error:

    X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
    Major opcode of failed request: 12 (X_ConfigureWindow)
    Value in failed request: 0x0
    Serial number of failed request: 25
    Current serial number in output stream: 25

    Any ideas?

    You can try the other screen modes by using the '-i' command-line option. It could be just something unexpected about your X environment and it may run fine in curses or SDL mode.

    Well, since posting, I had a bunch of updates applied and rebooted the system, and SyncTerm is working well. Looks like my mobile system will be ready for the big trip next week. :) Other than when I'm busy, I'll be able to keep up with BBS mail. :)
