  • Synch IRC /Oper O-line issue

    Well I still don't know why it was not accepting the out of box /oper sysop system password with the SYSTEM_QWKID.synchro.net as the hostmask but neglin may have an idea why that did not work. We did try a few different o-lines with the above hostmask along with the S flag to see if it would accept the o-line but as I said our attempts were unsuccessful.Your modifications to the ircd.conf file did not help but I thank you for trying to help me with this issue. neglin eventually was able to help me obtain IRC Operator status with the o-line ~brokenmin@tiabbs.synchro.net:PASSWORD:USERNAME:ORDXsw:10. also the hostmasks were differnt when i connected from 127.0.0.1 and tiabbs.synchro.net and i think that fact was causing part of the issue as well.

    Still couldn't get it working with it trying to authenticate against the
    system password so I just gave him a line to use a password and set his hostmask correctly.

    In /sbbs/exec/load/ircd_users.js the /OPER command starts at line 1058 or
    there abouts so if anyone else is having issues, they could maybe put in
    some debug information to try and determine what the problem is.
