• Cryptlib building...

From Alterego@VERT/ALTERANT to Digital Man on Tue Aug 13 22:54:07 2019
    Hey DM,

I wanted to ask - is there a way to not have make build cryptlib, but to link to an already installed library?

IE: I have made a cryptlib deb (since I'm using debian - but I need to update it) - and I do plan to update it. I'm hoping that if I pre-install cyprtlib, it
would save on the compile time of that component (in the same way you can link to JSLIB with a previously installed library and save on make having to
    compile that component)...

We don't just build cryptlib, we patch the source files first. So it may be possible to link with an existing/system libcl.a/so, but I wouldn't recommend it. If you want to know what these patches do, see 3rdp/build/cl-*.patch.
